London and Zo had gotten into a nice routine since his first visit with Liza last month. London opted to block Zo’s number and made Mila and Black’s home the drop off and pick up spot. London was a little afraid about what Zo might do if he found out it really was her who took his stash, so she was avoiding him at all costs. Plus, he started blowing her phone up demanding that they talk after the first visit.

With the proceeds from Zo’s stash, London had enough money to move out of the hotel and into her own apartment off of Dale Mabry. Kayo had become a great support for her outside of her sisters. Now that she wasn’t with Zo; she completely understood why it wasn’t good to date a family friend now. Anything that she told Mila or her sisters would likely get back to Zo, so Kayo had become her sounding board. After a long month of completing job applications and not hearing back from any potential employers, London was drained.

London drove away from Black and Mila’s house with no particular destination in mind. She was ready to be back in the workforce, but she knew her time was going to come. Sitting at the light before hopping on the interstate, her phone dinged and alerted her to an incoming email. London pulled out her phone, hoping for some good news, but it wasn’t. The incoming email advised her that her unemployment claim was being disputed by her previous employer, so she needed to provide further documentation to support her claim.

“Ugghhhhh!” London tossed her phone onto the passenger seat and pulled into the gas station to grab a few cigarillos.

A blunt or two while Liza was gone was much needed. When she got back in her car, she called Kayo to see if she could stop through and grab a sack. Thirty minutes later, London was pulling up in front of a small trap house out in St. Pete. London called Kayo to let him know she was outside and a few moments later, he was descending the stairs.

“Wassup baby? Why are you looking all down and shit?” Kayo smiled before sitting in the passenger seat and passing London the Ziplock bag he pulled from his pocket.

“Shit, I’m just trying to figure some shit out. I still haven’t heard back from any of those jobs that I applied to. I even called a few of them earlier this week and left voicemails. I know what the issue is though, it’s kind of hard to obtain a new position when you were fired from the job you held for the last five years due to assaulting someone at the office. The pending criminal charges also don’t look good either,” London pulled out fifty dollars to give Kayo, but he pushed the money away.

“You good on that London. But back to what you were saying, yo baby daddy don’t help you?”

“He does, he gives me money every week for the baby.
